Members receive preferred rates to attend the two conventions provided each year by the NVMA.

LEGISLATIVE PROGRAM
NVMA represents the Nebraska Veterinary profession at the State Capitol, lobbying on those issues that primarily affect veterinarians.

PUBLIC AWARENESS

  • NVMA participates in the Birthing Pavillion at the Nebraska State Fair
  • Advertising on the Pinnacle Sport Station Public Service Announcements
  • Animal Hall of Fame Award
  • Outreach Program in which vouchers are given to graduates of service dog teams to use toward the care of their animal.
  • Pet Week Poster Contest for all 5th grade students in the State of Nebraska. The winner of each of the 7 Districts receives a $50 savings bond and the overall all winner receives a $100 savings bond and their poster is sent to the AVMA Auxiliary and entered into the National contest for a $300 savings bond.

PUBLICATIONS
The Nebraska Veterinary Views is the quarterly newsletter keeping members informed on veterinary issues.

COMPLAINT RESOLUTION
The Professional and Consumer Relations Committee oversees client complaints, often resolving the complaint before legal or licensure action is initiated.

INFORMATIONAL RESOURCE & WEBSITE
NVMA members receive free information on a variety of issues. Members have access to the "Members Only" section of the NVMA website at www.nvma.org.

FREE ADVERTISING
Members may run Free classified ads in the Veterinary Views and on the Website.
