MEMBERSHIP TYPES
ACTIVE
MEMBER (annual dues
are $175)
An active member shall be a graduate of a veterinary school
or college approved by the state of Nebraska and accredited by the AVMA or
be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Nebraska. If not
licensed by the state of Nebraska they must be an employee of the U.S. Government,
state of Nebraska, or other governmental sub-division, an institution of higher
learning, or of industry. The active member’s primary practice address
must be within the state of Nebraska.
ASSOCIATE
MEMBER (annual
dues are $65)
An Associate member shall be a licensed graduate veterinarian
who resides and primarily practices in another state or former NVMA
active member who may or may not be residing within the state. They
are entitled to all the rights and privileges of membership except the
right to vote or hold office.
STUDENT
MEMBER
Student member shall be a student
from the state of Nebraska currently enrolled in an accredited school
of veterinary medicine. He/she shall receive selected mailings and publications
and shall have the privilege of attending all NVMA meetings at no registration
fee but be expected to pay for the food events. They shall not be entitled
to vote or hold office.
