The LVT program is open to all LVTs. The veterinarian program is open to those who graduated within the last 10 years.

    The Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) Board's strategic initiatives for this year include quarterly membership surveys. These brief surveys will help us stay in touch with your wants and needs and preferences.

    The first quarterly membership survey is about readership of the NVMA quarterly newsletter, Veterinary Views. Please take a few minutes to answer our four-question survey by clicking here.

    Power of 10 Leadership Academy Now Open to Licensed Veterinary Technicians

    With the success of the NVMA Power of 10 Leadership Academy, which is entering its fourth year with a full class, the NVMA Board decided to open this program to Licensed Veterinary Technicians. The NVMA Board feels that the LVTs could benefit just as well as the recent graduate veterinarians in improving communication skills, gaining leadership skills and learning to be a team player.

    The NVMA Is currently taking applications for its first P10 class for LVTs. Application deadline is March 2. LVTs from the classes of 2008 through 2017 are encouraged to apply. Attached for download below are an information sheet on the program and an application form. If you have a Google account and want to use the online form, you will find a link to the online form and other Power of 10 information by clicking here.     Online bidding on items in the NVMA Centennial Scholarship Foundation auction starts on Monday, January 8, 2018.

    The online bidding will continue until the NVMA Annual Banquet on January 25, 2018, at the Annual Conference. On the evening of the banquet, there also will be a live auction.

    Online bidding is open in the NVMA Centennial Scholarship Foundation auction. To participate, please register as a bidder by clicking the red "Register" link in the upper right-hand corner of the page at the online auction site, and follow the instructions to establish your bidding identity.

    The online bidding will continue until the NVMA Annual Banquet on January 25, 2018, at the Annual Conference. On the evening of the banquet, there also will be a live auction.

    It is our hope that you will have fun with this innovative online auction. It is important, also, to support the mission of the Centennial Scholarship Foundation. The Foundation was established in 1996 to solicit, invest, and administer a perpetual endowment and to distribute the earnings to deserving students to support the growth of veterinary medical education for the benefit of future generations.

    NCTA's Award-winning Veterinary Technology Program

    The award-winning Veterinary Technology Systems Division at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture was one of the nation’s first nationally accredited programs for technical training in health care for livestock, companion animals, and exotics.

    During its long history, the quality of the program has been exceptional and it continues to grow today. The VTS division has been continuously reviewed and accredited by the American Medical Veterinary Association since the early 1970s.
